To return Internet or Catalog purchases to an AE store location:
To return catalog or Internet purchases to an AE store location please take
the packing slip that was enclosed with your order and the credit card
used for the original purchase. The packing slip will serve as your receipt.
If you do not have your packing slip, you will be credited the current price
of the item and issued an AE Gift Card for the amount. To find the AE store
nearest you, please visit our web site at http://www.ae.com/stores/ or
call our toll free number, 1888-232-4535 and select option #2.

For Internet and Catalog purchases:
1. Detach the bottom of the packing slip that was enclosed with your order
2. On the side marked ”merchandise return form”, circle the item(s) that
your are returning. Please indicate the reason(s) for your return.
3. If the address for the return or exchange is different from the one listed
on the form, fill out the box (different ship to address) on the reverse side
of the form.
4. For returns, the original credit card will be credited or you will receive an
AE gift card, depending on how the items were initially purchased.
5. For exchanges, fill out the reverse side of the form.
6. Pack your return securely in the original package if possible. Be sure to
include the return form. Attach the shipping label that was provided with
your original order.

If you do not have your original packing slip, please include the following
information with your return: Bill to name, address and phone number, Ship
to name, address and phone number, order number, reason for return, and
requested exchange items if applicable.

We recommend that all returns and exchanges be sent via a traceable
carrier such as UPS or FedEx. AE is not responsible for packages not
received if sent via a non-traceable carrier. Returns and exchanges must
be returned prepaid; we cannot accept C.O.D. deliveries.

Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding order #XXXXXXXX.

The invoice which arrived with your package contains all the information
you will need for returning this merchandise. Please ship the merchandise
back to us by placing the pre-addressed label which came with the
invoice back on the box, and taking it to your local post office. You will
have to pay to ship this merchandise back to us.

This method will take about 4-6 weeks for credit to be reflected on your
Visa account.

Or you may take the merchandise, with all tags attached and with your
shipping invoice, to your local Macy's store.
They will let you return the merchandise, and they will credit your Visa card.
