logistic solution. The idea of WIZWID business model
was originally created in July 2000 within SK Global,
after a thorough market test and positive response from
the general public;
WIZWID.com was launched on February 21st 2001. On March
WIZWID was incorporated into an independent company,
WIZWID Korea Inc.
The company's main shareholder is SK Global.
Among the many partnerships, it has a strategic alliance
SK Global America's Los Angeles warehouse (LA Hub),
in which the latter acts as its consolidation point

a nutshell, WIZWID is a global e-commerce and e-fulfillment
Basically there are two types of business model at WIZWID.com;
WIZ Address model and the
WIZ Shop model.
The WIZ Address model is how originally
WIZWID was started. Once the customer registers him
or herself on our site, WIZWID automatically gives the
customer a number and the LA Hub address.
When the customer desires to purchase a product in a
US site, he or she will purchase it with his or her
personal credit card and instead of writing their Korean
address, the customer will use LA Hub address.
As the goods arrive at the LA Hub, they are sorted and
all necessary information is inputted into our system.
Also, all the necessary documentations are created for
the goods to be delivered safely into Korea.
The WIZ Shop model is more convenient
to the customers because it acts as the "buying

With this information, customers order us to purchase
the products on behalf of them. The shipping address
that Wizwid utilizes is the same LA Hub address. The
WIZ Shop directory is located within the Wizwid.com
site and sometimes introduces the customer products
deemed high in demand for its price or quality. The
Wiz Shop model solves the payment problems related to
foreign registered credit cards, since all payment by
WIZWID are done with a guaranteed company card. .

Since all the US Internet shopping malls are in English,
our customers are able to receive explicit information
and ask specific questions in Korean.
We create a communication channel for our customers
that was non-existent before.
Secondly, we provide our customers products that are
not available in the local market
and ways to purchase those products. Last but not the
least we provide our customer
with a logistic platform that is capable to deliver
the purchased products anywhere in Korea.
To our vendors, we take care of the
payment and the international logistic solution.
First, with minimal risk, vendors can expand their global
market by providing the regular services to
WIZWID as if our customers were regular US customers.
That is, US retailers have to only deliver the ordered
items to our LA Hub address. Secondly,
WIZWID is also able to market the vendors product directly
to the customers utilizing its detailed database and
provide personalized customers service.
And third, WIZWID is very flexible to open a brand new
market to the US vendor on-line as well as off-line.
Instead of sharing the same market in the US only, it
will be creating a new one in Korea.tomer products deemed
high in demand for its price or quality. The WIZ Shop
model solves the payment problems related to foreign
registered credit cards, since all payment by WIZWID
are done with a guaranteed company card.
Where is WIZWID located and is
it present in any other country?
The head office is located in Seoul, Korea. We have
a subsidiary office in the US, WIZWID USA Inc. However,
most of our registered customers are living in Korea.

types of relations does WIZWID have with vendors?
WIZWID is quite flexible in creating alliance with various
vendors. We take each relations case by case based on
all the web sites and type of agreements.

We request that the vendor provide the same return policy
up to Carson CA address, as they would do to
a US customer.
4. Do we have
to pay any fees?
We work out a commission with our vendors. This commission
is based on the products and prices offered.
5. What is WIZWID's
pricing structure (WIZ Shop)?
Our customers pay us on all landed cost, which includes
the cost of the goods, international shipping fees,
taxes, and custom clearance fee.
6. Doesn't WIZWID
resell our products (WIZ Shop)?
We do not resell the products. Since the customers give
us the payment with the order, we simply purchase the
goods on behalf of our customers.
7. Does WIZWID
buy inventory (WIZ Shop)?
No, we do not buy inventory at the moment.
8. How do we
start (WIZ Shop)?
Very simple. We sign a basic agreement allowing us to
present your products to our customers and we start
ordering goods on behalf of our customers.
